As Explornatura has grown over the years, we still strive to maintain a familiar approach to everyone and everything. Our main offices are still located at home, in the heart of the Turrialba Valley. Because of this we have maintained much closer contact with our product and can truly boast that we are ‘experts’ in the region.

Over the years as we have grown as a company, we have also grown in reputation. Explornatura has now been featured in seven local Costa Rican news channels for its innovative tours and responsible, sustainable practices, as well as two international news channels, and three international news publications. We are currently the only company in Costa Rica certified by the American Canyoneering Association (ACA), and Ronald and Massi are the two founding members of the Costa Rica Canyoneering Association. When Massi and Ronald founded Explornatura, one of their main goals was to make adventure accessible to anyone. To this day this concept is one of the pillars on which we have built our business – we won’t just to hold your hand as you partake in our adventure activities but facilitate the adventure and help you to learn about what you are doing.

We pride ourselves on our service – both the quantity and the quality. We have three offices spread throughout Costa Rica so that we can provide our clients with quick and knowledgeable information no matter where they are. We have built a team of highly skilled, seasoned, bi-lingual veterans with a background in adventure. This is a combination that is hard to find in this industry – most people are either good at adventure or good at sales and customer service. We strive to set the standard in adventure travel in Costa Rica by having experts that not only can sell products, but can stand behind them.
